A Hot Rum Festival!

On Saturday October 26, 2013, Playmas Montreal Cultural Association and A
Taste of the Caribbean Festival present a unique and thrilling event that focuses on
the exquisite art of blending fine cane spirits in cocktails, never before sampled in
Montreal. Savvy rum aficionados will discover a truly remarkable range of fine rums
from the Caribbean and enjoy the excitement of mouth-watering island dishes catered
by Chef Gregory Charles. Chef Gregory has promised us a gastronomic celebration of
rum, e.g. Coconut Shrimp in Pineapple and Rum Butter, Conch Fritters in Hot Rum
Sauce and other exquisite delights. This unique event will take place at the elegant
Eveagreen Reception Hall, 5011 Buchan Street, Montreal. Reserve your tickets
now.

The recently renovated Eveagreen Reception Hall is the ideal venue for this large
gathering of rum lovers and enthusiasts. Come and sample the world’s finest rums and
rum cocktails amongst the tropical setting of palm trees and Carnival Costumes.
Besides fine rums and scrumptious Caribbean delights, the “Caribbean Rum Splash”,
will feature live entertainment by the Montreal Rhythm Makers, Caribbean
Dancers, and all sorts of exciting island culture. There will also be an on-stage live Rum
Cocktail Competition and a silent auction.
